Palm Pre Plus and Pixi Plus Available Soon for O2 Customers in the UK
For those waiting to buy the Palm Pre Plus and Palm Pixi Plus in UK, there’s some good news. Palm and O2 have confirmed that both these phones will be launched on the latter’s network in UK on May 28th. As far as the pricing goes, it’s definitely on the higher side. The lowest monthly tariff price is £25 and the highest is £60. If you opt for £35 or above, you get the device (Pre Plus or Pixi Plus) for free on a two year contract. O2 offers an 18 month contract as well.

webOS 1.4.5 To Offer 3D Gaming on Palm Pixi
If you are a gaming addict, there’s good news for you. 3D gaming is all set to arrive on your Palm Pixi with the release of webOS 1.4.5 in the next several weeks. The new webOS release will support PDK apps and 3D-accelerated games on the entry-level Pixi. Palm launched 3D gaming on the Pre in January this year. Last week, Palm sent out an email to developers encouraging them to test apps that make use of its Plug-in Development Kit (PDK). The Palm PDK extends the original SDK with tools to enable 3D programming – against the newly released webOS 1.4.5 beta.

Palm Pre Plus Now Available on AT&T, Palm Pixi Plus Coming Soon
The Palm Pre Plus is now available with AT&T in the US.It costs $149.99 on a two year contract. Its younger sibling Palm Pixi Plus will be launching on AT&T on June 6th 2010. The Palm pre Plus features a 3.1 inch multitouch display with a resolution of 320 x 480, a slide out QWERTY keyboard, in-built GPS, a 3MP camera with an LED flash and geotagging. It also comes with 16GB of storage and has 802.11 b.g WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1 +EDR, a microUSB port and a 3.5mm audio jack.

The latest report suggest that despite the dwindling fortunes of Palm (now a part of HP), webOS has managed to hold its fort as a popular mobile operating system. Sprint Offering The Palm Pixi For Free With Contract
Sprint is now offering the Palm Pixi ‘free with a 2-year contract’ through its online portal. Sprint retail stores may not be stocked with these free Pixi handsets and therefore the online option is the safest bet. The catch is that you’ll have to agree to a two-year contract, which is livable if you’re a long term Sprint customer anyways. Sprint’s two year contracts range from $69.99 to $189.98 per month.

Palm Pixi Plus Heading to Europe
Its official now. Palm Pixi Plus (along with Palm Pre Plus) is heading to Europe. Both phones would be available in Germany on O2 and Vodafone networks starting April 28. In UK, Palm phones will launch on O2 network later this month and they are expected to be available to Vodafone UK customers in May, 2010. Further, it is believed that both these phones will also be available in France on SFR network. starting April 27th. For French customers, the Pixi Plus will carry a €49 up front price tag, while the Pre Plus will cost €149, or €99 including €50 mail-in rebate.
