Palm Warns Users Against Overclocking Patches
Palm has officially warned usersto stay away from the overclocking patch that promises to spur Palm Pre’s performance. It is interesting to note that the overclocking patch boosts the Palm Pre’s clock speed from 500 MHz to a whopping 800 MHz. There’s another patch which overclocks the Palm Pre to 720 MHz. Two hackers code named ‘unixpshycho’ and ‘caj2008′ are the authors of these overclocking patches. The patches are believed to work on Palm Pre phones running on webOS 1.4.

At CES 2010, Palm had offered a sneak peak of what webOS 1.4 would have in store for users – Video Recording, Flash 10 Compatibility, Performance Improvements and some other minor upgrades. Palm Pixi – Size Does Matter
With the much awaited Palm Pixi now available in the market, it is bound to draw comparisions with it’s competitors. Many comparisons are drawn upon the price, the features and a bunch of other critiera. Form Factor a.k.a size has gradually become a very important factor in deciding the popularity and public acceptance of a smartphone. Clearly, Palm has put in a lot of serious thinking into this aspect of the Palm Pixi and the form factor of the Pixi is a ‘Wow!’ We compare it to Palm Pre, Palm Treo, Palm Centro, iPhone and the Motorola RAZR.
