Palm Pixi to Get Video and Voice Recording Soon?
One of the biggest things missing from WebOS is video and voice recording capability. It seems like a glaring hole since PalmOS had the ability and that was years ago. Well the good news is that there’s nothing preventing the Palm Pre from recording video… nothing other than Palm getting around to make it available. [...]

Palm Pixi gets Bloomberg’s Vote as Frugal Teen Gift
Rich Jaroslovsky of Bloomberg News wrote today that the economy hasn’t recovered for many to consider a “$2,500 Apple MacBook Pro, or even that $200 Motorola Droid.” He goes on to say: “If you’re looking for a smart phone to give a teenager, consider Palm Inc.’s Pixi… The Pixi is lightweight without being flimsy, and [...]

Telus – Palm Pixi Canada Launch in January 2010?
While USA is gearing up for the Plam Pixi launch this sunday, rest of the world will need to wait longer before they can get their hands on this smartphone. The Palm Pixi had it’s fair (to be honest, more than fair) share of rumours around the release date and pricing for the Spring release in USA. It seems to be no different in Canada atleast for now. The latest speculation doing the rounds of mobile enthusiasts in Canada is that the Palm Pixi will be launched by Telus in January 2010. Although the Palm Pre is doing pretty well in Canada, Palm has decided to drop the Pixi prices by 50$ to set the clock ticking for the Palm Pixi release on it’s HSPA network in January.

Developing A Palm Pixi webOS Application in Three Weeks
In one of our earlier posts, we explained why it is challenging for developers to migrate their existing webOS applications from Palm Pre to Palm Pixi. If you are a Palm Pre developer and developing your first application for Pixi, you may not find it easy due to the resolution difference between the Palm Pre and Palm Pixi.

Limited Edition Palm Artist Series Due Early December
One of the advantages of Palm Pixi is it’s focus on look and feel. A large part of that feel comes from it’s extremely thin form-factor. The look, on the other hand, may be due to the Palm’s Artist Series plates. The Artist Series plates come in limited editions of 5000 – each signed and [...]
