In one of our earlier posts, we explained why it is challenging for developers to migrate their existing webOS applications from Palm Pre to Palm Pixi. If you are a Palm Pre developer and developing your first application for Pixi, you may not find it easy due to the resolution difference between the Palm Pre and Palm Pixi.

Thankfully, the development folks at Palm and Yelp have been very pro-active at helping Pixi devlopers to overcome such problems. The latest help offered by them to Palm developers worldwide is this page which talks about modifying an app so that it works like a charm both on the Palm Pre as well as the Palm Pixi. The only major challenge was to display search errors in Pixi and courtesy, the folks at Yelp, it is no longer a challenge and you can develop applications which run seamlessly on the Palm Pre as well as the Palm Pixi.

As Yelp puts it, it's possible to develop a Palm Pixi app in less than three weeks. We're pretty sure that a number of Pixi apps are about to hit the Palm App store in the coming weeks following the November 15th release of Palm Pixi.

Here's the full transcript of the interview with the Yelp folks.
