Palm Pixi Release on November 15th at $99

The Palm Pixi is coming... the Palm Pixi is coming... Today Palm has announced that they'll release the Palm Pixi on November 15th at a price of $99 after a $100 mail-in rebate. That keeps it at the same price point as the lower end Apple iPhone. That's about the price that was expected. I was root for something closer to $59, but what can you do. Unlike the Apple iPhone, there's a good chance the Palm Pixi will be even cheaper than $99. For example, Amazon is selling the Palm Pre at $99. Amazon will want to the Pixi as well and they won't be able to justify selling it at the same price as the Pre. So I would expect the Pixi to be available for around $49 during the holiday rush or soon after.
