Thoughts on HP buying Palm

I was so shocked buy Hewlett-Packard buying Palm this week that I had to take a few to days to gather my reactions. Here’s what we know:

Purchase Price – Hewlett-Packard will be purchasing Palm for $5.70 a share or 1.2 billion dollars.

Developing webOS Applications for the Palm Pixi

What does Palm Pixi have in store for the webOS developer community? Will your Palm Pre applications run seamlessly on this new phone? Will the lack of WiFi in this phone have any effect on your applications? Pre had a resolution of 320×480 while Pixi has 320×400 and Pre had WiFi while Pixi doesn’t have WiFi. webOS applications are cross-compatible between Pre and Pixi.
