WebOS 1.3.2 on Palm Pixi

If you are the proud owner of a Palm Pixi, there's a pleasant surprise for you this morning. Palm has made the WebOS 1.3.2 version available for Palm Pixi customers through the OTA update. As to what's new about 1.3.2 or how is it different from 1.3.1 is not clear at this point of time and there is no official word from Palm about it either. No matter, we just love updates. The update is roughly ~ 3.1 MB in size.

Perhaps Palm is intentionally delaying the release notes of webOS 1.3.2 for Palm Pixi until it makes the Palm Doctor available for webOS 1.3.2. Whatever the case may be, making the webOS update available without releasing any information is probably not the best way to move forward. It could confuse some Palm Pixi customers, but then I wonder how many people really care about the release notes for the phone.

While there's no official word even on the 1.3.2 release, multiple sites on the internet are already speculating the availability of webOS 1.3.5 in mid-December. Some are saying that the 1.3.5 will lift the application space limit on WebOS devices. I believe that we are going to see the release of Adobe Flash 10 for WebOS which we now expect to be fewer than 29 days away.

[Update: Palm says it fixes a security hole. Well that was easy enough to say, right?] This post involves:
